Orientation at a glance
- Relationship between aircraft and area is immediately obvious due to the usual map picture
- Your flight planning and the Direct Vector are entered on the original map and are updated upon the touch of a button
- Immediate orientation without abstract conversion of the map with a turned map in a separate window
- Up to date, coloured original map material – complete across entire continents
Flying means a high work load
- in bad weather,
- at take-off and landing,
- in busy airspace
More safety: Moving Terrain saves valuable seconds in critical phases due to the automatic tracking on the map.
VFR "on top", VFR above"scattered clouds"
- Often the fast and comfortable option above the clouds is not used due to the lack of ground orientation
- Moving Terrain provides the contact with the ground – precise and neat on the VFR map
- Airspaces, prohibited areas, alternative routes – the map immediately transmits all important information
- Complete terrain overview

Human Factors – Ergonomics in the Cockpit
Ergonomics in aviation means that certain actions may be taken easily and comfortably.
However, the pilot cannot benefit from an ergonomic cockpit if complex processes are behind each ergonomic switch. An easily reachable switch in the cockpit should also trigger a clearly defined and simple function. There should be a minimum of ambiguities or choices to be made.
If a stress situation occurs during the flight the pilot should not in addition have to deal with numerous options for the operation of switches.
Moving Terrain pursues the philosophy of true ergonomics in the cockpit: a brilliant display (optional with touchscreen) with real keys without knobs for letters. Moving Terrain eliminated all button combinations, which needed explanations in pilot training sessions.
Moving Terrain – ergonomics not only in the design, but also in its operation.
The Layer Technology
Overlay of various information onto the base chart: e.g. MT-TCAS, MT-Satellite Radar.
On the Multi-Function Display all information important to the pilot is arranged in a self-explanatory design. Now you no longer need to struggle to gather all data from the cockpit. At a glance you may see all pertinent information with respect to your position.
With the layer technology you may display or disengage data quickly. Display what is relevant for your current flight situation only.
